VIN Inspection

Vehicle identification checks (VIN) are performed by the West Greenwich Police Department and will be conducted Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 12pm. Please be ready with your documents when you arrive and see the dispatcher to let them know you are here for a VIN check. There is a $10.00 fee per vehicle for West Greenwich Residents and $20 per vehicle for non-residents.

What do I need to bring with me?

  1. The vehicle title
  2. Bill of sale
  3. Residents will need ten dollars ($10.00) cash or check, exact change needed.
  4. Non-residents will need twenty dollars ($20) cash or check, exact change needed
  5. The vehicle. No Exceptions!
